Mitsubishi Shogun oil cooler hoses

A mate has a K94 Shogun and the flexi hoses for the oil cooler are leaking. New ones are pricey so does anyone know what fittings are on them or know of any aftermarket parts?

take them off, take them to Pirteck and they make them up for you.

My mate did that on his Vauxhall van.

i did this with a jet wash high pressure hose, not only did i get a longer hose it was the same price as a new replacement from the manufacturer but for a better product

Milner don't do them. Unfortunately if he takes them off he won't be able to go to pirtek, suggested that already.

As Mr Vark has said Pirtek will make your pal a new set. I got a set made at my local agri garage. Think it was about £30.

Contact Merlin motorsports at Castle Coombe, they do the fir tree fittings to make your own. We’ve done a couple of sets for Mazdas & recently made a set for a V8 Defender. There must be others that supply them, but we used them as they are down the road. They have a good web site.

Thanks, that would be a good solution if we knew what size of fittings are used. Is the hose not hard to fit onto those fir tree fittings? I'd have thought it would just get blown off by the pressure

Fir tree fittings are one use only, push the pipe on and the only way it is coming off is if you destroy the pipe or fitting

As Kayos says, they don’t come off. You don’t need Jubilee clips. You want to use the correct pipe & best to dip the pipe in hot water, else they are difficult to push on. The only way to get it apart is a Stanley knife & slit the tube

I’ve got the metal oil cooler pipes here off my old k74. The male end is 15.7mm dia and as far as I can tell with my gauges it’s 1.5pitch and 15mm long

any hydralic hose place shop or mobile will carry the fitings and hose

As above for just about anything to do with vehicle pipework, even the fancy braided aeroquip is reasonably priced.
