Misc wires under my sink?

The PO of my house was a bit of an ambitious DIY enthusiast. Whilst removing an old dishwasher I came accross these wires and this box under the sink. The black wires disappear behind the kitchen counter and either go up behind the plaster or through to the other side and off somewhere.

Any idea what they could be?

Hmm not any fancy lighting in the house. Will unplug them later and see if effects anything. Might just be redundant in that case

Nothing under the wall units or through the plinths?. Odd.

Looks like a low voltage transformer and a distribution block, have you tried googling the make/model numbers and see what comes back?.

would say as above lighting or possibly alarm wire. some old style PIR sensor had lov voltage feed . but most likely lighting in cupboards or even in ceiling downlighters

Hate those rats nests would def think LED lighting somewhere in the room, where do the other 3 mains wires go where does the TX plug in
Perhaps he was a thrifty person & removed the LED bulbs when he left just leaving sockets

Well gave the wires a bit of a tug and they came out of the wall..

That will explain why they don’t do anything then!
