Minimising Damp inside machines . . .

I've currently got my MIG up at a lock up, which is prone to getting damp.
I've got it covered up with an old throw (blanket) when not in use.

Can I go a stage further and add anything inside the machine to soak up airborne moisture that gets through ??

Do those silica bags found in new electrical equipment draw moisture ?

Or is there something more suitable out there ???

Silica bags should help a lot, may require large ones for a machine, you can also dry them out by popping into microwave............

Asda sell some containers with damp stuff in ,they collect the damp and you microwave em to dry em

lad uses 2 in his morris minor, they work a treat hth

Keep you mig in an old fridge/chest freezer seal up any holes like the drain put your sillica in with it if you want.

use it more then its not a problem . What about one of those vacuum bags there always advertising for under bed storage?
