mini spray guns - cheapest or better?

been using a random mini gun off ebay for sometime , its been alright with only self inflicted faults where i didnt clean it enough

its gave up today and ruined a job by dripping from the needle seal so its gone in the bin

not really willing to pay up for a sata , i see ebay has mini guns from £8 , ones with fast mover on the side are £25 ish , is it better for the extra money or no ? i wouldnt mind spending a little more to get acceptable quality

what do you reccomend please

You can get parts for them so they can be fixed and additional setups are cheap.

I really liked my Graco finex spraygun, used it for bodywork primer, base and clear i think the mini version is around 60 quid?
I used a cheap ebay hvlp for a few years for spraying steelwork, but i hated it, and it wasn't a great gun in any way. I've moved on to a decent 3M gun that's lovely to use and gives a much better pattern with less overspray.

Pete's Hobbies on YouTube has got a few tests of the ANI GF3 - He quite likes them.

The GF3 and R150/R160 bodies are very much identical. *Only if you have both* you can buy a cheap nozzle kit to give more options and use on either body.

The difference in quality is all in the nozzle kits. The design of the nozzle is slightly different so you need the correct nut, whoch only comes with the body, not the kit.

The GF3 1.2mm nozzle can be reamed out to a 1.7mm and does a good job of primer on small items.

Binned it for that, did you not take it apart clean and adjust, any gun will end up in the same boat with out cleaning and maintenance

I tend to repair them and move them down the chain, primer gun etc
