Has anyone bought one from any of the uk importers?
they are unbelievably cheap, one person I spoke to said they ok,you have to tweak now and then, the parts are so cheap it’s hardly worth repairing or overhauling, example is engine with carb £80 !
Most of them are made from Chinesium, so don't last more than a couple of days use.
When they first came to the UK our local bike shop who didn't sell them had calls from Boxing day onwards as many didn't run out of the box, he wouldn't even repair them as the few he did see where so poorly made he thought they are a safety hazard.
You occasionally see them at the jumble but they don't appear to sell, I took one in part ex years ago when I sold the kids Quads ( Apache a good Chinese make) It was a brand new Repsol race bike, its currently on the wall as a nice ornament in a friends Garden Bar.
The Stuff Jing Cheng and Skyteam make are much more expensive but a lot better quality.
All depends on what it for, if its for kids a used Yamaha PW50 would be £5-600 but once they outgrow it its still worth £5-600 Or a TY80 for a few hundred more. I personally like the TY's as its not fast more about skill so good for learning.
Its very sad to see the disappointment of the children when the cheap bikes fail.
