Mini ITX I3

I am looking for a mini itx motherboard ideally with an integrated I3 CPU (if such a thing exists) and relatively cheap.
It has to be I3 or higher and support at least 4Gig of dual channel RAM
Anyone know of such a beast as so far I have drawn a blank.
Oh ideally fanless as well.

Possibly, I3 is the min specs so as above I3 or higher.

Last time I bought mini-ITX boards they were Cirrus processors. Seems like you're looking for small size and fanless, in which case I don't know whether you're going to get an I3 or better.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that mini-itx.com is still around, 12 years after I last bought from them. Is it for living-room type use, or are you concerned about dust infiltrating it in a commercial environment? Just wondering what's driving the mini-ITX form factor requirement.

From a hardware compatibility perspective, pretty much any current motherboard/CPU pairing is compatible with mini-ITX hardware and vice-versa (performance notwithstanding).


Edit: Looks like mini-itx.com do support i3 on boards, but it's not gonna be cheap. This is the CPU (other sources of i3 CPU are of course available) but it's referring you to coffeelake boards: https://www.mini-itx.com/~i3-8100

Aye, mini-itx was where I got my Via Pico mobos from, the Beaver Mill still runs one

It is for the Chiron CNC, I was fancying trying out CS-Labs SimCNC control software but it requires an i3 or better with 4Gig dual channel.
It needs to be a mini itx as that is all I have room for and fanless would be the ideal but looks like that is not an option.

Ok my head is spinning, I will resume my search tomorrow.
Not wanting to throw a lot of money at this as I don't know whether I will upgrade the control software, depends whether I think there are enough benefits.
If I do then the mobo will be just one thing I have to change, the new software doesn't support serial modbus so that would mean I also have to get rid of the PLC and buy a load of I/O modules, the toolchanger alone uses about 40 I/O
