hi, oxt/acet how do i reduce the problem of mini explosions in the weld being done, what are the gauge pressures for different nozzles ie 1,2, 13, etc and the pressures for cutting regards wukkie1

when you say explosions is your flame going out then re-igniting or is the weld spitting at you ?

the pop is a small explosion taking place in the the torch tip when it happens it blows the weld pool in all directions . if the welding is getting 2 hot and emitting sparks the sparks can get up the tip of the torch .if its getting 2 hot the heat reflected back on the tip can cause it to pop at low velocity. this causes gas to explode all good fun . u stop jumping and being frightened after a while
