Mini Checkmate 1990

Hi all,

Posted a few threads previous to this. Just stating that my current project is a 1990 Mini Checkmate 998cc. I will be posting pics on asap.

Currently looking at repairing all sills and poss floor panels.

If anyone has done any similiar stuff, help would be much appreciated.

This is my mini in its condition when I picked it up. Purchased from e-bay.

Take a look in the "Practical" section. I don't think there's anything specifically mini there, but lots of generic car restoration stuff that'll help you .

So long ago that I last worked on a mini that I can remember little more than ******* some of the neighbours off (and some others asking me to do work on theirs).

On the wider web though, try a search for mini restoration and you'll find a shedload of stuff.

Be careful Mini's have a habit of warping if to many seams are undone at the same time, I cut all roof and pillar gutters off mine as well as the ones behind the bumpers and left the bumpers off, looked neat. Anyway I bolted my body to the workshop floor to avoid any possible twist, but then I did not have to replace the floor plan.
