like brghtspark said but hope u've got a 1/2 decent compressor..........even the poorest sand blast gun consumes a lot of air....Frank

they wouldn't knock the skin of a rice pudding even a 90 psi pressure fed blaster would have a job removing the coating

you just need to sort out a pick up pipe. here's one I had earlier, the valve on the pick up is just to allow air into the pipe and it makes the abrasive more fluid in the pipe.
it is very slow progress though to use
I now have a pressurised blaster
and use that with a 3hp 14CFM compressor, and it will run all day at 50psi with a 2.5mm nozzle. if you run a 2.0mm nozzle it would require it may only require 2/3 of the air requirement of a 2.5mm nozzle which is roughly what cfm of the 2.5hp compressors is. of course it may take a while to fill the blaster up with air to begin with. if you can run a lower pressure when blasting, the blaster will require less air from the compressor.
I've just had a look at old posts on here, and the Frost gun above that I had was fitted with a 2.0mm air nozzle were fitted with 1.5mm nozzles for 1.5hp compressors.
I have a similar type of gun I bought in lidl. I used it to clean up brake calipers & it worked quite well, though the grit went everywhere so cleanup was a chore. You would really need to use it in a cabinet of some type, I've earmarked an old dishwasher for this.
The downside of these guns is that the blast nozzle is usually not tungsten or ceramic so it will wear quickly which renders the gun scrap unless you can get spares.

Alloy wheel paint is seriously tough, it took me a whole day to do one wheel with reasonably decent kit. After that I dunked them in paint stripper first.
It was likely powder coating & not paint so you were effectively trying to blast off plastic! Unless it is loose pc is very hard to remove, you were lucky that paint stripper took it off. I'm guessing you were using dichloromethane or similar?
