Milwaukee Table Saw... HOW MUCH??!!

Just been looking at these out of interest & nearly fell over!

I think a cordless option is great, But not at £700 + price tag

Any ideas how the batteries even hold up? I.e. Run time?

About what you'd pay for a decent 110 / 240v table saw from the big names.
Can't see the point of a cordless ts tbh.
I like my cordless gear but if a jobs involved enough to require one if have my tranny wired up and be running my corded tools.

Jigsaws skillys etc are great without cables but a TS or mitre saw is stationary and you bring the work to it

For sheet work a tracksaw is far better.

i have an older version of the same saw: without the sliding table.

i built a biesmeyer fence, and a crosscut sledge and it works *great*

The main reason I seem to use it is for cutting down timber to odd sizes which isn't available off the shelf

That's my main use.
Cut slightly oversize and use my cheap screw fix planer/thicknesses to finish exactly.
Both the saw and planer thicknesses will still give you change over the milwakie
Thicknesses is great for reclaiming old wood.
One pass each side and that manky bit of wood looks brand new again.

the clarke one i have has cut 100s of scaffold boards into 3x2s.

the trick is to buy decent blades, and keep them sharp.

Don't talk to me about blades. Spend a fortune on them.

Surprisingly robust. I abused the second hand one I bought for 2 years and when a bearing disintegrated bought another.
Old one is repairable when time allows
Need to strip the lot to get access.

Never gonna have time and it's more than paid for itself.
Bearing on the blade holder disintegrated
Other than that works fine.

im going to have to decide whether or not to get rid of my elu/dewalt planer thicknesser.
i havent used it for about 7 years, and it takes up too much room.
but when i need to use it, its wonderful to use.
