My mill came with a nice tilt and swivel vice, possibly a bison? It's seen better days but seems to work well and should clean up nicely enough for me.
Unfortunately it has been attacked by some clumsy fools in the past, I would like to repair these by welding and then milling the weld down, is that a wise move or is it going to distort something or otherwise not work, I assume it's cast so might crack the weld? I only have an 180amp mig at my disposal.
Other option might be to fill it with chemical metal, at the end of the day it doesn't affect it's operation at all, just looks untidy so I'm looking for options and advice on tarting it up.
