Miller air cooled torch

Hi. Ive been using Millers now for the past 20 years . Usually big synchrowaves early on and now dynastys. I bought a tiny maxstar 150sth with an air or gas cooled torch and have read that i can buy an air cooled torch for my dynasty 200. The question is, since im so used to machines with water cooled torches and chillers, are the air cooled ones as good as cooling as im going to be using as close to 200 amps on the dynasty. Also, how do they atattch(do i need an adapter) and work? many thanks . Nick

200A will be the limit for air cooled. A WP26 is 200A DC and 150A AC.

You will find them much bigger than a water cooled. Miller has an adapter #195378 to connect an air-cooled torch.

For site work all we used was air cooled torches, they did get hot though if you were working them hard, I have seen me wrap another glove round the torch handle as it was getting rather warm to hold onto.
