Collets, there are various types like ER25, ER32, ER40 etc. What is the difference, what does the number mean, how can you tell what ER....etc you need apart from the right size for the tool to be used.

You will find depending what machine you have and the machines spindle nose what Er size it can take restricted by the spindle nose type iso 30, 40 etc.
