Military stuff. 4x4 bikes etc

Saw this and thought some of you might be inteested.
It's an auction of loads of military 4x4 - LR, Merc, Jeep, Austin Champs, and a selection of bikes used by the military as well. Loads of stuff.
Location Lancashire and the Isle of Man, I think.

Why do the Army see fit to sell vehicles with 190miles on the clock. No wonder we have no money in the pot

Only gives the odometer reading, so maybe they hit the limit of the dials and went back to zero, to start again.

100190 miles on the clock might be the real figure.

I doubt it. Just after the first Iran war, I was at a disposal yard, they had 7 Trucks that were used for moving Cruise Missiles some hadn't left Liverpool Docks, still with the plastic on the seats with less than 40 miles on them, the most had something like 750miles. The guy wouldn't tell us how much he paid but said it wouldn't pay for putting new Tyres on one of them

work have just bought two coles grove 18 ton mobile cranes for the engineering department, both with less than 500hrs on the clocks,

if you think most mobile cranes on hire are out of the yard 8 hrs a day five days a week then these cranes have done less than 13 weeks work!

they had a feild full of them for sale.
