mild steel or stainless steel sheet suppliers?

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a supplier that can get me some stainless/mild steel sheet. I'm making exhaust flanges at the moment and wandered where the best place was to get some.

I've just made an exhaust flange at the weekend from 6mm mild plate

Search for your local "Metal Supermarkets" franchise, it's where I get my small bits from. Not the cheapest, but my local one is great, they've even ordered a full sheet just to sell me a foot or so of some plate they didn't stock.

They're also small enough to cut your steel to exactly what size you want, handy for 6mm plate

As always, if you go late Saturday morning and mention that you don't need a receipt...
