Migtronic 140 mono...not certain as to switches functions

Hi,
just resurrected a 140 mono, fitted euro socket and torch. Seems to be functioning fine but being a newbie to a more sophisticated machine need information as to the various dial settings and what they mean. ie it has a 'pulsed' (wire feed) on straight welds ....why? Obviously the wire feed control, amp control and the dial for gas flow are all familiar its just the other settings that I need help on. Greatly appreciate any help.

That's my friend is a spot weld timer function, forget it, 99% of people never use it.

Thanks for the reply there is a spot weld function which is separate (position D on selector and then the two other adjusters F and G one of these two must be time, what's the other ? )....here's a pic if anyone can let me know the function of each switch position it would be very much appreciated. I know I could 'play around with the various settings, but as the welder is an unknown 'quantity' I cannot be sure I'm getting the right results.

I've labelled each one with a letter in the pic below

A - 4T, B - 2T trigger control
C - single timed weld, time set by E
D - spot weld, weld on period set by F and off period set by G
To use it as a basic welder set to B

D is stitch weld. Series of short welds.

One question what is 4T and 2T

A - 4T, B - 2T trigger control

2T - Welds for as long as trigger is held.
4T - Press trigger once to start. Again to stop.

Thanks, had noticed this occurring when set at those positions ....but thought it was a fault now I know that's not the case Excellent stuff now to try it out and get used to it. Thanks again for the helpful replies

Hehe, we have gotten several posts:

Post: "My welder is broken, it only welds for 2 seconds."
Reply: "Turn off the spot timer"

It is a sales gimmick more than anything else. Most find it more annoying than useful.
