Migmate Super wire feed issues

I'm running a Migmate Super of indeterminate vintage that is having occasional wire feed issues. I'm wondering if it might need a new liner, I've replaced the shroud and tip. It'll work fine for a bit, and then it'll throw a birds nest just past the rollers before it enters the liner. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to it, sometimes it'll run fine all evening, other times it'll throw in a second nest immediately after cutting out and re-feeding.

Any ideas? I've checked the liner is correctly inserted into the collet, it looks like it's been broken off at some point and so it's a bit short but does still go in and clamp up. If it is the liner, any ideas where I might get one?

Welcome to the Forum.

Try slackening the pinch rollers off a bit, so if the wire jams the rollers will slip instead of piling the wire up into a birdsnest.

Weldequip (link at the top of the page) should have liners in stock, also change the swan-neck liner whilst you're at it.

You could try blowing the liner out with compressed air
