migatronic 180 wont turn on

Hi all ive had my migatronic 180 for many years never let me down i used it a few days ago and worked fine i went to use it today and it wont turn on no lights or noise at all tried plug fuse and the wire isnt broke anywhere only thing i know is it might have got a bit damp but not wet inside anywhere any ideas cheers martin

...worth checking that you are getting power to the machine side of the mains switch if you haven't already?

yes there is power to this side would u know if there is a fuse in the welder ?

Sorry, I don't - if it were mine I guess I would attempt to trace through some of the wiring. Maybe someone who is familiar with these machines will chance along in a while.

I'd try power supply, internal fuses. Do these MIGs have capacitors ? If so take a look and see if its distorted or discolured, (found one on a Genny last year that had exploded, looked like someone had stuck a wad of chewing gum on the side of a capacitor) Though even if capacitor look ok still its worth checking.

Was looking through various Migatronic diagrams earlier as someone else has a problem with there 180 and noticed that they seam to have several fuses dotted around the machines! Some in the wire roll holder area. As has been suggested go all round the welder inc the back panel and find all the fuses you can. They should be in the push and twist panel mount holders (little black caps).
Recon you have the fuse for the feed to the aux transformer failed.
Is the fan working?
Does the fan normally run all the time?

yea looked all over but nothing bad fitted new bloo straight away
