Hi all. I recently put my migatronic 180 mono into eng welding services to be repaired, it had over run on wire feed. I was told about £200 to fix it as they had to send PCB to Migatronic for repair (Gasp),anyway after 3 weeks I was told it was irreparable. I found a local electronic repair shop...

The euro torch assembly fitted straight on. Ive had the machine from new (about 30to35 years) this was the first problem I"d had which speaks volumes for the machine but sadly not for company, that's me Whinged out for today.

I don't know they'll help but they may, and would hope they'd at least tell you the age.
They ran a competition a few years ago to try to find the oldest running machines. You entered your machine number into a form and it came back with your date. Unfortunately it's no longer available online but will be to them I'm sure. Mine was 1987 iirc but by no means the oldest.
I just re-read the thread regarding the migatronic geriatric competition. I had the idea then that the age might be contained within the first few digits of the serial Nr.
Not sure what the date will give you though, other than satisfy curiosity.
