MIG205TE wire feed issue

Hi All,

Im quite new to welding and after struggled with my flux core mig, ive decided to buy a used mig205te. Well thanks to the guy sold it to me and me being stupid not to test it, im ended with the following issue...

Welder power up as expected, on power up runs out some wire - not sure if this is normal - but when trigger is pressed I hear the contactor switch and wire starts running, but the stops right after 1-2 seconds. Tried to open the tensioner, disconnected the motor but it is still doing the same. Without knowing much about welders i suspect a PCB fault. Anyone know where can i get schematics for the PCB? Any other idea would be appreciated.

Does this have a Stitch weld timer option ?

As above, make sure the timer is clicked off, i think these have 1 knob for wire feed speed, 1 for a timer which you want all the way off, along with the rotary voltage switch

No problem-O...I have a friend that man's a remote monitoring group for large off road diesel powered
machinery.

They have direct sat/cell links to the machinery, and they can see everything on the engine....

Still get calls 'it won't start" so he links in to the machine, everything looks good.

"Did you put the firewater in the tank ?"
Many times, that is the problem....

Not a bad idea for you to have poked around in it anyway, worth doing that with a new (to you) machine to check for dodgy connections and stuff, its a nice machine and looks pretty clean inside though so i'd guess its fine, hope it serves you well.

It is definitely looking clean now, spent an hour to brush and hoover it out... Still cannot belive it
