which wire is better airliquid or Lincoln and is it easy to put it from a 15kg spool to a 5kg spool as my local only sells 15kg spools
What would be the best way to use a 15kg spool thenNo it's not easy. I re-spooled some wire from a 15kg to 5kg last week using my lathe but it's not wound on perfectly like it is when you buy a spool.
Would the frame need to keep tention on the spool and could you put a picture of how to do itMake a frame/dispenser to stand beside the mig & run the wire in to the wire feed using a bit of curtain wire.
Sorry I can't do a picture, but it wouldn't be difficult to arrange something. You would only need a bit of tension to stop the spool running on, a spring on the shaft maybe.Would the frame need to keep tention on the spool and could you put a picture of how to do it
Ifl itech mig150what mig are you using?
as i just run it from the 15kg spool through mig using brake wire and it runs ok something im used too

Seems pretty good I hadn't been using it much because of the tig but when I didn't have the tig the last month I was using it more it was a full 5kg roll last week but not nowhow beefy is your wire feed ? if the motor is a good size use the 15kg roll if you use it enough if the motor is on the small side probaly best not bother
