I'm relatively new to MIG welding (about a year MIG welding though many years stick welding). Need some advice!
Fitting a new spool of wire I clumsily let the tension on the spool as I fed in the new wire. Very annoying. Now the wire in the spool crosses over on itself ( not evenly wound because of my clumsiness) and snags and stops the spool from feeding properly. Is there anything at all I can do to rescue the new spool and get it wound properly so it feeds evenly? I know, answer may be to just buy a new roll but I really hate to waste that nice new wire spool...
All advice appreciated!
