Mig wire size question

Hoping somebody can explain to me, When changing from 0.8mm to 0.6mm Fe wire my Kemppi minarc 180 mig still performs flawlessly with only minor adjustments.When doing the same on my Butters/Fimer I really struggle to get a fast enough wire speed. This problem is apparent in both synergic and manual mode on both machine.
P.S, there is nowhere on the machines to tell it what size wire you using.

Your going to hate me for this but are you reversing the feed roller too..it has 2 size grooves in it

Hi, roofman, Yep rollers changed to correct grooves, Just seems strange regardless of wire size the Kemppi synergic controls take it its stride. the Butters will hardly run the thinner wire,
