Mig wire/Amps

Might be a silly question But one of the Boffins will answer ((( I HOPE )))
What is the lowest amps you can weld with 1mm wire as been offered some very cheep back hand £10 full size roll but i only have a 120 welder will it work on this?,,

Not sure about the amps, but do you have the correct roller for 1mm wire?

Depending on your set 45-50 amps in dip transfer.
You also have to think about the wire feed.........is it man enough to feed thicker wire
On the face of it there doesnt seem to be much difference but actually 1.0mm is about 50% bigger than 0.8mm.....work out the csa.
