Mig welding stainless steel

at work their want me to mig weld some stainless steel bar to a bracket doing a puddle weld on top of it we use BOC argonsheild heavy would that be alright or would pure argon be better thanks

Pure argon?
Not worth the effort.
I went through a whole series of gas mixes for Mig welding stainless.

Get some anti spatter and use standard Argon/Co2/O2 mix.
I'd reccomend practicing a few times first, and aybe do a bit of destruction testing if it load bearing.

Did you try a stick inverter Chunk for you sculpture? Would have thought with the stainless rods you could flow those joints quite nicely.

thanks for replying so well argonsheild heavy be alright then not to sure on the mix on that but it that we use at work and their tight wads so their won't buy anything else
