Mig welding machine amp meter problem

when no welding the amp meter already show 200A on digital meter, my machine is 200 amp.. after welding the meter show 300 like that but i adjust the selector on 100amp. the ampere is too large... thin plate got holes after welding..
when start on in the morning it is normal, but after used about 1 hour then the problem will start...
what the problem?

Could be debris in the meter movement causing the armature to jam.

This could suggest an electronic component on the current control circuit is breaking down internally when it gets hot.
The first thing to do would be to identify the circuit board that handles current control, and visually inspect it for obvious damaged components.

As Octo says, it would help if you gave more details about the machine, what make, model, etc. And pictures if possible, both of the outside and the inside.

electronic componet has degraded somehwere and been excessivly effected by heat or possobly a fry joint on one of control pcbs
