mig welder

hi,
i'm new round here please pardon my simple questions.

I have a sip 130 mig and it driving me mad having to fix it every time I use it. so time to go.
The question is what to replace it with it will mostly be welding old vw. A local shop as a Murex tradesmig 171 @885 euros is it a good buy

I presume that's a new machine?

Murex have a good reputation and following, with the present conversion rate working out at about £650, over here that could buy you something as good and with a bit more power, I get the impression though choice and price differ a fair bit over the water.

I think the main question is what work do you intend to do?

It is a new machine. Buying one in England is a idea but the shipping can kill the value. I will be using it for welding repair panels on vw vans I have and bit of fabrication at home.
