Mig welder problem would like help

I work in a pontoon factory, welding the tubes for the pontoons. My mig gun has a weak drive roller, but when switched out to another gun, it also has a weak drive roller, and can use it for couple weeks until it looses what little power it has. The board in my welding maching had been fried twice in 1 month. What to you guys think will cause a drive roller to be weak even with a knew drive roller motor.
It is so weak all you have to do is touch it with your finger to stop it>?

Sounds like the gearbox is dragging.

You should be able to stop the wire with your finger as the wheel spins to stop bird nesting the wire in the welder. Is this a spool gun you are using as you say the drive roller is in the gun ?
