Mig torch

I have just got a mig but I find the hand unit uncomfey to hold is the any thing else i can get like something with a pen type grip ,if that makes sence..

Not really, the CLarke's all have a copy of the Tweco MiniMIG torch. Most others are similar.

If you did an Eurotorch conversion you could put any torch you want on it but most would be gun types.

Such a good idea. The MIG torch shape feels like one of those things that was put together years ago and that nobody has really thought about since. Though it's not so bad really - keeps your hands away from the heat, gets into gaps well, and works fine which is probably why nobody has done anything with it.

The Clarke torch is small which helps. Try using your other hand to guide the swan neck as you weld - that adds a lot of control to torch movement.

Tha reason i wanted something more comfortable to use like the type they use on american hotrod or are they just for a tig welder..

I think you are referring to a TIG welder where they add the filler manually.

TIG is real nice; can do just about anything. It is also more complicated, slower and much more expensive (especially for AC/DC for aluminum).

MIG is a lot easier.
