Mig tip and shroud help

Hi can someone point me towards which tip and shroud do i need for this welding torch? Ive ordered two online now and neither fit, ive got the short unthreaded one and a long threaded one. I though it would be one size fits all.

My welding torch has a left hand thread on the external but no thread on the inside for the tip to screw into either? Is it because it was previously set up to use with gas?

I think you will need to tell the guys what make machine/torch first although some one might recognise it.

how can someone even try to reply or help without knowing what type of machine you own,, just a little more information required,,,

My bad its a sip migmate 155t gasless.... one to many glasses in the shop tonight i thought the tips would be fairly generic but having no luck finding one that fits, been looking but they all seam to have external thread for the shroud internal for the tip

Not familiar with your machine but looking at your setup you seem to be missing one,, it's called a difuser over here it has internal threads for you to thread one end to swan neck and internal threads for the tip,, that's my 2cents, I'm sure a superior intelligence will set everything straight,,

shroud is 2" long and is a push fit -

On my R-Tech [same type of shroud securing], it helps to turn slightly while pulling.

Think it's the type of swan neck you have got wrong !
Does the swan neck SCREW into the gas valve or does it use a grub screw to hold it in there ?
If screwed in then what thread does it use as that will determine which swan neck CAN be fitted

Search ebay for "mig swan neck" and you will see whats available .

Thanks for the replies. Yeah it screws into the gas valve with an m8 x 1.25 thread and lock nut. Probably a chinsey copy of a similiar design, dont know whether it comes as standard on this model as google doesnt come up with alot for that one.

I think my options are to completely swap out the swan neck for one with the diffuser built in i think its the MB15 thats m8

Or buy the diffuser adapter that will convert the left hand thread to push fit shroud and m6 tip thread

Is it esse tial to have the holes in the diffuser if not using gas? If not I might just cut this on down and tap it to take the tips ive got

What do you think of the torch having used it? Have you fitted an adapter to this one or swapped the complete neck?

I've had it for 4 years from new (i.e. with a new sip migmate 155t) using it gasless and had no problems, either with the torch or mig, except for what I'd put down to being a newbie to welding, like replacing the copper tip a few times when I managed to weld the wire to it...
