MIG + TIG + plasma cutter ?

Anyone know where I can find a welding machine that includes MIG TIG and plasma cutter in a one portable 240vac machine ?

I know there are multiproces welder that includes MMA TIG and plasma cutter but why I can't find MIG TIG and plasma cutter?

How hard is to convert an MMA TIG electric inverter to a MIG TIG one ?

I'm not saying they arnt available but the biggest reason is mig and mma/tig work on two different principles.

Mig uses a constant voltage ware by you set the voltage and the welding current will fluctuate depending on the resistance in the arc/weld

Mma and tig use a constant current supply ware you set the current and the voltage will fluctuate.

So if you can get one I would imagine that one or more of the processes will be a compromise if not all. You would be mutch better of with individual machines IMO, although a tig with mma function would be more than acceptable.

ive only ever seen a tig/mma and plasma combo.

never a mig/tig and plasma.

and for the reasons explained above is proberly why.

only migs that i have seen that can do tig as well are the inverters that will do scratch start tig like the r-tech units, but they dont have aplasma cutter...

as above the issues are that mig is CV, MMA/tig is CC and packaging both of those into a unit that also has to accomodate a mig wire feed system, a mig torch and connectors for mma/tig would make it, big, heavy and complicated, and then you still have to wedge a plasma cutter in there and facility to connect air and put regulator in etc...

the mma/tig/plasma are easier to do as mma and tig are fairly similar units if you only want basic tig (even with hf its not that much more to package) without upslope and pulse features

No plasma, but does everything else, and seems a much better bet than Chinese junk from Ebay?

It doesnt exist and I would guess that anyone wanting that sort of thing would find the Lincoln I provided a link to, is as close as they could get to what they were looking for?

But in the real world combo machines are never that great an idea anyway, as invariably the quality will be lower than individual machines, as there is obviously a need to sell at the lowest possible price.
