Please could you all tell me what you use these differing methods of welding for?
With my single phase supply as a guide, I can now (theoretically) do the following:
MIG (0.6 or 0.8 /30-150 amps)
MMA (inverter up to 200 amps -supply permitting)
TIG - Lift off
TIG - HF
TIG - HF and pulse.
So far I've laid down some birdshot welds on scrap with the MMA, 110 amps and 3.2mm electrodes. Nothing fancy but I joined steel ..whoop.
What would all these different 'types' be best suited to?
It would be helpful if people could categorise the types of application each one 'rules at'.
