Hi, I know this has been put up before but as inverters have improved have things changed? I do mobile welding, mostly repairs to gates, shutters, walkways, plant etc. I am now in a position to buy a diesel generator and inverter mig. I have read lots of threads for the Esab caddy, Lincoln powermig, Keempi etc, what one would work best on a generator and what KVA Generator should I be using? I have been looking for sometime now at Phil Weeks website, he makes his own Mig called a Worrior 250 (250 amps, from 13amp supply) seems a lot, and would surely trip something? He does a package which includes the welder and a 6kva Generator, which was using the Yanmar L100, which I know is very good, but he is now using a sansom engine, which I believe is from India?
This is going to set me back nearly £2500 which is fine as long as it works and is reliable, I dont want to throw two and half grand down the drain! All suggestions welcome! Mick
