Mig/stick vs separate machines

Hi, I am after some advice on my first mig purchase. I have around £500 scrapped together but this has to cover everything ie machine, grinder, ppe, gas, spares. Initially I will be looking for a mig to tackle my car but have other projects in mind with much thicker materials. Which leads me to my question. I'm considering a smartmig 162 then a dedicated arc machine in the future once I got some experience . Or something like the r-tech 180 mig/mma which should keep me going for a long time. Which would be my best route? Any advice is appreciated.

I have a Rtech mig 180 and can say it's a great little machine, stick side works very well too. Mine was off ebay as shop soiled one I think it was around 400 delivered, come's with the argon regulator in the box as well

Just a 100 for the rest will be pushing it though, but you sometimes find AEG grinders on ebay for around 35 new.
