Hi there, ive just purchased a Blackline 200 mig from ebay after some good reviews. I dug out my ancient clarke 150te last week and it died, so with my chassis (land rover of course!) needing some welding i treated myself.
I was hoping someone could help on a quick question about mig reel spool bores;
i took my clarke 5kg 0.6 reel and fitted it in the new mig, however there seems to be a bit of slop in the reel and how it sits on the spindle. I measure about 52mm bore on the spool but only 50mm on the new welders spindles. Is this ok? My old clarke had some slop but less, its fittings were about 51ish. I cant test how it feeds yet as im waiting on a leccy to wire up the big socket.
any advice on this would be much appreciated. Is it acceptable for the reel to have that slop on the spindle?
cheers
Al
