MIG Regulators

Just a quick one. Bought a Snap-on 2135 with the little 4mm hose, and want to use a great big 8litre Argon bottle I have already. Does a regulator exist that will accept the 4mm hose, or do I have to get one of those adapter kits to upgrade to 6.3mm hose?

Yep, noticed the weldequip stuff which is how I found out what the first option was. And if an adapter kit is my ONLY option, weldequip it will have to be

When I started out I rigged my thin pipe to larger pipe up with cable ties and stuff, a temporary bodge that lasted a couple of years.

Not wishing to send custom away from the Weldequip store, but I managed to find a few solutions locally which come out very cheap. The first one is this:

As you can see, the 4mm nylon hose pops in to what I guess is a 1/4" threaded insert, which screws into an adapter for 6.3mm rubber hoses.

The second one is this:

Which is a simple push-fit adapter; 4mm one end, 6mm the other, and is designed for aquarium CO2 usage, so I have no idea if it's up to the pressure requirements of a big gas bottle or not.

Still, I've ordered one of each, and I'll try them out here and let people know. Price is two quid or thereabouts for either, and I'm NOT the seller! Of course, you still have to buy a length of rubber hose on top.

Looks like a standard industrial push-fit to me, used very commonly in industrial pneumatics and fine for 10 bar no problems.

the Snap-on 2135 very similar to the cebora 130. You could do a euro torch conversion on it id your torch is not in the best condition and you'll get a proper solenoid to connect the Reg to.
