Hi everyone,
Excellent site, very glad I found it.
I am a hobby welder, entirely on classic cars. I have a Clarke 130EN which I purchased a couple of years ago for panel welding a Volvo 131. At the time I was outside so opted for the no gas option but now I have the luxury of a double garage and intend using gas.
I will be welding a car chassis which has a range of material thicknesses from .8mm up to about 3mm. My question is would it be man enough for the job, especially for the top end gauge?
I understand if I vee the metal edges I would be able to increase the gauge of metal. Is that correct?
Many thanks in advance
Jensen
