Its a Hobby welder for light engineering use on old motorcycles, frame tubes up to 2-3mm, welding brackets on, repairing rust holes in tinware. I'm quite handy with a stick welder but need to do lighter stuff. Plus the occasional project. I have my own lathe and mill so if something mechanical breaks like the wire feeder I can probably repair or make a new one. My fuse box is in the garage and has a couple of spare slots on the RCD side that will take a 20 amp breaker. Idon't at this stage envisage any long runs. will it do?
It is Chinese built, they are not all bad but they are not all good either, it may just do what you want and is cheap enough..but it may also cause you lots of problems.
You seem to have a some good equipment, I think I would be looking for a MIG to compliment it.
Ideally you need something that starts at 30 amp min...think they are higher than that but not certain.
Well gents I'll leave that one where it is, If its no better than my stick welder with being 60 amps min it won't do what I need it to do.
