Mig Gas around Glasgow?

Hi Guys, just bit the bullet and bought myself an R-Tech Mig 180, now looking for a Gas supplier around the Glasgow area or anywhere that is doing good deals, As i know there is a few of us around this way, I'm ideally looking for Rent free as i don't think i will be using too much gas and don't fancy the idea of having a rental charge for something that is just sitting there, reason i have bought the welder is to work on my Vw T25 Camper.

Ps i have seen some offers kicking about in here but they are old threads dating back to 2009 and still don't know if the offer stands, so thought I'd ask here anyway as its more likely that someone will know where to go and whats still on offer.

cheers guys, will have a looksy, what Gas does everyone prefer to use? looking mostly at autobody grade stuff with a the occasional heavier use for maybe doing chassis work here and there, Does anybody know what type of Reg comes with the RTECH? sure i read somewhere that CO2 that the argon Mix cylinders have different thread/need different regs

I took up the BOC volkzone offer at:
Argoshield Light size Y (MIG) - 5% Co2 / Argon - Volume 4.8m3 - 93cm x 20cm - 40kg
Gas Price - £27.03 + £0.79 climate charge
Rental - £39.45 per annum
The standard R-Tech Reg fits the size Y cylinder.

I am sure there will be a BOC depot near you, I have one in Lochgilphead.

Gave SIG a call and they do a "hobbyweld" rental free at a deposit of £60 for a 10L cyl @230 bar, gas price @ 31 quid a refill which should do me fine, that was for Sure Shield 5

I did the comparison on value for gas before plumping for the BOC deal - the local Hobbyweld dealer admitted they couldn't match it for value when rental and gas volume supplied were factored into the equation.

I suppose it's down to convenience for you too, so it'll be a case of 'you pays your money and takes your chance'
