You don’t need low amps, if you are trying to weld at the bottom of the range you’re going to have issues with poor penetration, welds that need more grinding and putting in more heat as you have to weld for longer. Turn it up, quick weld and then cool. Panel fit up with a 1mm gap for mig.I'm leaning a similar direction. I like the sound of the warranty and support for Rtech, also the machine is specked to go down to 25A MIG, whereas the bester is 30A. Though I'll likely only use that if I happen to do any work on a modern car.
Also, with the dial, I'm curious if they go lower than these quoted minimums.
