For thin plate, my welds are mostly globular. In globular, the droplet grows and then falls into the weld pool. My reasoning is that until the drop is large enough, it won't drop so 0.8 or 1.0 will not make much difference.
It will however, in spray mode. (I think) So can I spray with 0.8 wire and 2 mm plate ?
If not, there are some 0.6 mm wires used for laser welding and was wondering if it was worth a try.
(I assume 0.8 or 0.6 will spray at a lower power than 1.0 )
The reason I asking is, here in New Zealand, it hard to get anything less than 0.9 mm so I have to import it. Best to ask first.
Cheers Wallace
