Mig 130 gas problems

I have a problem with my Cebora Mig 130 welder, it has suddenly developed a fault.

Every time I screw the gas bottle on to the regulator it blows the black cap off the bottom of the torch neck that has an electrical connection on.

Has anyone else come across this problem, what can I do to fix it?

My guess is the regulator is faulty passing full pressure not regulated down to 5 to 10 psi.

Yes that's the bit that keeps blowing out all the time

Is your torch incomplete? That part is only held in place by the two halves of the torch handle isn't it?

That's correct it is pushed into the torch neck and held in place by a rubber O ring. Up to now I have not had any problems but all of a sudden its started to blow out.

Yes but that black part fits into the brass gas valve and the two halves of the torch body hold everything in place don't they?
If it's blowing out then the torch handle must be damaged or incomplete.

The torch is complete and not damaged, there is just enough room below the cap for it to blow enough for all the gas to escape. I have been told it is most likely a faulty regulator pushing too much pressure through. So I have one on order, will let you know if it solves the problem. Thanks for your replies.
