MG MIDGET OWNERS - can you identify this part

from a 1500, 1977 S-reg car. I think it comes from drivers / offside front chassis member area behind bumper?

I would like to fit it but dont know where it goes.......

Any help / pic appreciated.

Have a look here, can't see it though, might be a strengthening panel that fits behind the front valance , but that is a guess!!

there must be a matching area on the car for the broken weld especially the bottom right corner

sadly all new metal in front - I have had a reply on MarkMG's recomended site above that indicates that there are two panels that fit behind the valance to support it it is the nearside part.

Many thanks - the part is indeed one of the two valance panels clear in two pics attached!

First from ebay is a new heritage shell with parts, second is my car in primer without!



Next either make or buy (and fit)
