Hi how do you remove the bowl on the regulator I presume it is screwed and seized, is there a magic way to remove it also is there a servise kit for them
Thank you
I'm fairly sure they just unscrew. Not certain though.
The alloy of them seems to corrode, so may be all bound up by that.
I need to replace the auto drain valve in one of mine.
They are (if they're the same models as mine) identical to the devilbis ones. I've used devilbis parts before (which are obviously more money, but also more available)
Sprayguns direct will be able to get you whatever you need. They probably have diagrams buried deep within their website too.
I think (might be wrong) that a basic unit can be had for £50 ish (?) so it's not worth spending too much time or money on servicing.
Some simply unscrew, some just need to turn to align lock/unlock markings - some are captive with a similarly located ring or security bowl.
They normally just jam on the seal and need a bit of ooph to undo - I have resorted to small stilsons carefully applied with a rag between jaws and bowl before.
Most makers will have replacement filters etc - and most will tell you they sell very few of them as no-one ever thinks to change them. Metal Work website seems to list spares for all their current ranges.
I managed to undo one, the other broke totally corroded, it was full of white powder, i ordered a replacement, need to clean them regularly
A thought for others, strip them down and clean them
