I'm helping a friend fettle up his newly acquired layland 255 tractor. The steering is dreadfull even by old tractor standards.
On investigation the steering centre pin is badly worn causing lots of play and also stopping the power steering working properly. New pins are available but are expensive so looking for a cheeper solution.
The worn area needs building up by about 0.011" at the worst part to 2" and the area is aproximatly 3" long, obviously requiring machining after.
Anyone got any idea what this world cost?
