Metal saw blade

I'm on a roll today with daft questions and suspect I know the answer, but I'll ask anyway.....

I'm hoping to find a blade for my chop saw which will cut mild steel. Needs to be 210 x 30mm, although smaller diameter would suit provided it wasn't too great a difference, and for cutting mild steel up to saw 3mm [think, angle iron].

Any opinions on these, or alternatives? Don't want to spend a fortune if I can avoid it as it'll probably get occasional use.

Co-incidentally, I'm going to be in Screwfix tomorrow anyway so if the Erbauer one would do the job it'd be handy for getting one.

It's only a cheap[ish] chop saw for wood, although it did come with a blade for alu extrusions and plastics etc too. Can't recall the rated speed.
This is sounding like a non goer.......

I think a look at the machines RPM will help, the Rage 255mm runs at 2500RPM whereas the 210mm runs at 4000RPM, maybe its finding a happy compromise,size against RPM.

Have a look at the speed something like the evolution saws run at and they cut steel.

Edit - the 'secret' is not to force anything - my cheapy chop saw runs a 210 (iirc) at 4,300rpm ish and cuts 3mm angle with the tct blade that came with it... Gently...

Ah, thanks - sounds like with care it would work [for all the times I'd need to use this blade]. Might go with the eBay Dart one as that is available in the same centre bore as the saw takes.

As for heat generated, which lube would you recommend [I have cutting oil] and how best to apply?

Many circ saw blades come with reducing washers, as many of the blades are 30mm bore. let me know if you get stuck for one, its just a glorified thin washer.

I have used --the biggest 36" Diam,this was before resaws came in, all the teeth were brazed, even on 10" and smaller if it was an economical repair new teeth were brazed on and then reground. sadly for Saw Doctors The advent of very cheap blades meant retipping became uneconomical. Even hand saws and tennon saws a recut was dearer than a new saw.
Would love to see the glue that sticks Tungsten teeth on a circ saw.-new one to me.

Aye, and a 1mm cutting disc in the angle grinder, but I have compromised sight in one eye so lack true binocular depth perception so I find cutting really accurately difficult to say the least.

iirc, it's a sort of almost brassy coloured glue that is usually applied with heat...

Just a quick update on this. I called at Screwfix [see my post in "Today I acquired...."] but they didn't have a blade I'd have been happy with, so looks like i'll be going with the eBay Dart one as it has the same centre bore and is closest in diameter to the 210 I wanted. I'll report in due course as to how I get.
