Hi, I was just wondering if anyone new the price of a standard size sheet of 5mm mild steel? I'm making a hopper in work & was trying to work out how much it cost the boss! Any info would be much appreciated, thanks!

Varies a lot, best bet is always to phone a couple of suppliers.
When you say standard size.....which standard size?

Comes in these sizes from most places....
2x1m, 2.5x1.25m, 3x1.5m, 4x2m....

Roughly about £100 for a 2x1 though.

I pay about £65/70 +vat via Celtic,for a 2x1m.

We pay £64 for a 2mx1m 6mm plate, so maybe £50-£55 ish for a 5mm plate.

Suppose it depends on what sort of buying power your boss has.
