metal cuts saw's ?

I'm look for a suitable met/cut saw that will cut that will cut up to 15mm/20mm solid bar.
my son bought me a machine mart woodsman chop saw(150mm blade)see pic.
it struggles to cut this bar but will cut 10mm easily!
I wouldn't have thought that another 5mm would make a different but 20mm is a definate a no no.

I bought a rage 2 saw or 4 can't remember which. it did the job brilliantly it also cut 4"x 1" steel plate easily to but the noise.
one of my neighbours came over what that noise
had all the doors shut.. ear defenders is a must!
anyway sold to one of the lads on here.
the question is there any cut blade that are better than m/mart?
I don't want a bigger chop saw because of the noise.

I've never seen a metal cutting tool that won't cut 20mm bar! I don't really understand why it won't cut it - its just more of the same. It depends how hard you push, but at the same work rate it'll just take longer to cut a larger piece than a smaller one.

Anyway, if noise is a serious issue, your best bet is a cheapo bandsaw.

I use a 350mm abrasive chop saw and it's a lot quieter than a rage saw. If you want really quiet you should get the hacksaw out
