metal cut off saw..

evening all..
i have been looking at buying my self a cut off saw..i was looking at the baileigh industrial circular cold saw...220 volt single phase 350mm blade....expensive but nice...i have been looking at the smaller one cutters from the likes of..clarke..bosch..sealy..ect...how good and accurate are these cutters on the mitre side of cutting....

When i was looking for a cutoff saw I ended up buying a 300mm Cold saw, great bit of kit

I have a metal cutting circular saw, called a Karlton, its my favourite tool, I did a 2 metre cut on 6 mm the other day, that's its limit, but it didn't struggle. Perfect cut, no sparks.

I'd go for a good brand name, not Clarke, as the motor on these must take some abuse.

ok chaps cool...will save and get the industrial cold saw....just wondered what the small ones are like...speaks for its self really ....

I've had a clarke/stayer cold saw since about 1990/91,
Only a small saw that cuts up to 70mm wide box section at a push with a 225mm blade, but you cant beat coldsaws for accuracy,
Had to rebuild to motor about 10 years back, was only about £20 for parts,
Smaller saws are fine so long as you respect their capabilities.

yes i guess as long as you don't give em to much stick they would be ok...i was just looking at one as a stand in until i get the industrial ..was looking at the blue Bosch 355...
