Thanks opened and found no volts at fan end of feed wires. Tested when on but not when overheated. Will check fully next week was just looking for any infoI'd expect it would be running all the time, just because that's far simpler to engineer into the design (and welding shops don't need to worry about excessive fan noise!).
How are you with electrics? It should be pretty straightforward to open it up and trace the wiring for the fan to find out whether it's 415V/230V or less, and whether it's wired to a circuit board or just straight into the primary power switch.
Dunno where you are in Edinburgh (I'm near Queensferry) but happy to have a look at it with you if that helps.
Thanks will look for manualNot used a 330 but on a wega 400 the fan is on-demand and only comes on when required.
However, there is a function to have the fan on constantly if required.
Find a user manual for yours and put it into constant mode to test the fan (if the 330 has the same function)
If the fan starts and stops on temperature, there will be some kind of temperature switch in the circuit. You need to find it, if your machine doesnt have the facility to switch it on and off. Then you can prove if its the fan or the temperature sensor faulty. Thanks

Thanks will look for manual found it. And saw how to switch fan to constant on will try next week
